So I made it 3 months being PRN and picking up anywhere between 10-30 hours a week, and I had to go full time again. I applied for so many jobs, had 2 or 3 interviews, but they never amounted to anything, so I was going broke and had to go back to full time. Bleh. I'll continue to apply for jobs, but I don't think anyone is going to hire me when I can't hide my belly anymore. Haha. So, unfortunately I think I'm going to have to put up with this job at least until after the baby's born.
Our wedding went great! I'll post some pictures when I get them back from Cassie:) It was so much fun and I didn't want it to end! I was able to fit into my dress (whew!) and you could hardly see my "bump". Haha. And I swear a month later my stomach has doubled in size. It's huge! I'll post a picture later when I'm not writing at work :P
Speaking of my belly, this pregnancy is going pretty well. I never had any morning sickness and haven't had much of anything for symptoms. I'm 26 weeks and 3 days today! Only 13 weeks and 4 days to go. Haha. I've reading posts on WhatToExpect.com and a lot of women are going into preterm labor about now and it kinda makes me paranoid! I mean they say after 24 weeks a baby's chances are a TON better for surviving than before 24 weeks, but I wouldn't want to have to go like 2 months visiting my little one in the hospital every day:( I'd much rather just hold onto them until then! :D So I need to learn to take it easy. I think I've been stressing myself out a lot and I know I don't need that. My hormones are so out of wack that someone could say the simplest thing and set me off and I'll bawl for at least an hour. I've even talked to my doctor about it and she put me on Zoloft, but it hasn't helped much at all.
We had our first ultrasound at 15 weeks, because when I had my first doctor appointment, she said I was measuring large and wanted to make sure I wasn't farther along than I thought I was. I was right though. It was fun to see the baby a little early though:) We had another one at 20 weeks, which is normal. We could see a lot more features and such in that one, and it was great! We didn't find out the sex, because we decided we don't want to know. Of course Brian thinks it's a boy and is always saying "That's my boy" when I tell him how much the baby is kicking me. I know usually the mom has a gut feeling of what they're having, but I really have no idea! I'm stumped. Everyone in my family is hoping for a girl (except my dad), since Jamie has 2 boys. Dad wants another grandson of course. Haha.
Brian's family kinda got over the disappointment I think. They don't seem disappointed anymore anyways.
By the way, I don't think I ever mentioned in my last post that my due date is February 14th, which I'm ecstatic about! That was my dad's birthday and I would absolutely love for my baby to share my dad's birthday. I don't know how likely it will be that I actually have my child on my due date, but I can hope! We have 95 days left after today, which seems like a lot, but I know it's going to be here before we know it....and we don't have anything ready for the baby yet. We have some clothes, a car seat from Jamie, and some toys, and that's about it. We're getting a crib from my cousin Deb and a changing table from Brian's mom. My sister also said she has a ton of stuff for us too. Mom says she's throwing me a shower in January, and I'm not sure if that'll be the only one, but hopefully we won't have to buy much after our shower:)
Anyways, I've been staring at this screen and I'm out of things to say, so I'm gonna go. Hopefully I'll write again soon!

New news......
So, my blog is in quite the need of an update! Wedding plans have been going well. Cassie and I have been working on the invitations and have about half of them done and mailed. I have to wait on some addresses from Brian's mom to finish the rest. I've been doing some shopping online for things like our guestbook, ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket, etc. I'm starting to get really nervous that I'm forgetting some things and won't remember them until the day of when it's too late!
Brian and I have some pretty exciting news. We found out about a month ago that we're expecting. We're about 9 weeks now. I haven't been to the doctor yet because I've been waiting to hear from Title 19 about insurance, as I have none. I finally got a confirmation letter a couple days ago, so I'm working on setting up an appointment. This was totally unexpected and was not planned, but we're still okay with it. We were planning to wait until after we were married to try, and honestly there was only one time that we weren't "100% safe" and low and behold......whoops. We're excited though, and all of his family finally knows. My family is super excited for us. His, not so much. His grandparents are pretty disappointed in us for getting pregnant before we're married, but I'm sure they'll get over it after we're married. His grandpa is more disappointed than his grandma I think. His aunt is upset because she and her husband have been trying to conceive for apparently a few months now, but we had no idea. They've had no luck. I do feel really bad and wish them luck. Finally, his uncle and his wife were excited for us. I almost expected a lecture from him, but they really didn't seem to have a problem with it.
For the most part, I've gotten used to the whole "no drinking" thing, but sometimes it's hard. When some of my friends want to go out or throw a party, I almost feel left out. I can go, but I just can't drink. You'd think that wouldn't be such a big deal, but do you know how annoying drunk people are when you're the only sober one? Haha, after a couple weeks, I started avoiding going out with friends when they were drinking. I'm also still working on convincing Brian that he should stop drinking with me. I feel like we should be together in this, because I'm always feeling left out.
So, since I found out that I was pregnant about a month ago, I was really starting to get sick of my job. I can't be hands-on with the kids anymore during escalations, and I feel useless when they get mad. Some of the kids still try to get aggressive with me and threaten to "kill my baby" when they get angry. I got to the point where I was fed up, so I put in my 2 weeks almost 2 weeks ago, and my last day is this coming Thursday. Technically, I'm only going PRN, so I can still pick up shifts when I want to. I haven't found a new job yet, so I'm a little nervous about not working and not having an income, but I'm working on finding something. If I don't, I can always just continue to pick up as many shifts at possible until something comes along, although I've heard it's VERY hard to get a new job when you're expecting. Bleh. I'd really love to find something in which I can make money from home, but I know there are a lot of scams out there, so I don't know how good my chances are for that. I would love to be able to stay home with my son or daughter after they are born.
Being in this apartment when our baby is born is not going to be much fun. We're still going to be living with Megan, which isn't a huge deal, but I'm sure she's not going to be a huge fan of a crying baby at night. She'll probably stay at Mike's a lot. Haha. Our spare bedroom is too full of junk to turn into a nursery, so we're going to have to have the baby in our room for the time that we're in this apartment. At least our son or daughter will only be 6 months when we move out and hopefully find a house. I'm disappointed that I don't get to experience decorating a nursery until after the baby's born. Lol.
Oh! Brian got a new car. It's pretty sweet. I'm jealous. Haha. He got a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. I'll see if I can find a picture on here.....

Pretty cute, huh? He's gonna be workin his ass off to pay for it though. He can no longer afford to go out with friends and such, which is okay on my part. Lol.
Anyways, I think I'm gonna end this and get some stuff done. If I forgot somethin, I'll throw it in later. Ttyl!

Update on the wedding
So Cassie posted more of our pictures on her blog, and they're amazing!!! Go check them out.
I've gotten a few more things done on the wedding planning. Whoot! It's still a pretty long list, but any progress is good progress.
1. Get wedding license
2. Go shopping for a vail and shoes
3. Register at Target and Lowe's (for Brian)
4. Hire an organ player
5. Meet with pastor (2 more times!)
6. Book a limo
7. Get Jamie's dress (we were supposed to do this earlier this week, but she was unable to)
8. Get Aden's tux
9. Send out invites (got them ordered!!)
10. Purchase insurance for reception for alcohol
11. Book hotel room
12. Hound Brian to get the guys together to get tuxes (workin on this one)
13. Get gifts for bridesmaids and groomsmen
14. Flowers (still really have no idea what we're doing for this one)
15. Finish website
16. Figure out where I'm getting my hair done and decide on a hairstyle
17. Get bustle put on dress
18. Book rehearsal dinner
19. Appraise and insure ring
20. Meet w/ the DJ about music
That's it! We booked our caterer and I ordered stuff for our centerpieces. I ordered the invites, so now I'm just waiting on them to come and then I'll have to worry about getting addresses and such and sending them out.
So Brian's band played last weekend at a graduation party and they're playing again at a house party tonight. Neither of the gigs are paid, but at least they're getting their name out there! They've already got a pretty big fan base, which is awesome!
Brian's been gone for the last week at his grandparents' house helping them get some stuff done on the farm. He's coming back today for a few days. I think I'm handling him being gone pretty well this time. Last time he was even gone for a couple days, I was a big baby about it. I'm doing good this time though, because I haven't cried yet:P.....It's been a pretty boring lonely week at home. Megan has been here for some of the time, and we went out a couple nights for girls' nights, but she's also been stayin at Mike's a lot. AJ is moving out, so he hasn't been here this week either. I'm totally fine with him moving out, since he's been pretty ungrateful since he moved in and always starting the dumbest arguments. I'm just ready to have my storage room back already. Haha. Anyways, Brian comes back tonight and goes back on Wednesday. Booooo. I'm ready for him to be home for good :(
Well, I'm not coming up with anything else to talk about, so I'm gonna go chill and wait for Brian to get home. He doesn't even know I'm home right now....Bahahahaha!

Engagement pics!
So Brian and I got our engagement pictures done yesterday! Cassie (my maid of honor) took them. We went out to Ledges and had a blast! Cassie posted a sneak peek of a few on her blog and so far they look awesome! Check them out at www.garnetphoto.blogspot.com!
On another subject, I decided to start keeping track of my weight and how I'm doing on my diet each week. A couple weeks ago I started at 178 (ridiculous I know!) and I had lost 10 lbs over a month and was at 168 for a while. Now I'm back up to about 172. About 3 days ago I started using a diet supplement called LipoFuze that i ordered online and heard great things about. I'm trying to be more active at work (standing more instead of sitting, playing games with the kids instead of just watching) and I'm trying to do my wii fit every day and I'm going to start biking to work, so hopefully the combination of all that will help me lose more weight!
As for the wedding planning, my list hasn't changed much...
My sister and I are going shopping on Tuesday for her dress and Aden's tux. It'll be fun! Tomorrow we're going to try our caterer's food and probably sign the contract. Cassie and I need to set another day to go shopping for shoes and a vail!
Anyways, I'm at work and should probably be working. Haha.

Bored at work again and thinking about my wedding...
So our wedding is less than 6 months away and I feel like I don't have enough done. We have our venue booked, photographer booked, dj booked, church booked, and cake lady booked. That's about it. Oh, and I have my dress. I sat down the other day and thought of a list of things that I DON'T have done yet, and here it is:
1. Meet with DJ about music
2. Get marriage license
3. Hire organ player
4. Meet with florist
5. Look into insurance for liquor
6. Get Jamie's dress
7. Get Aden's suit
8. Get a limo
9. Order invitations (will be done very soon!)
10. Send out invitations!
11. Hound Brian to get all of his groomsmen to try on tuxes
12. Meet with pastor
13. Centerpieces and decorations for reception
14. Hire a caterer!
15. Gifts for bridesmaids and groomsmen
16. Look into dyable shoes for me:)
17. Finish bridal website
18. Contact bustle lady
19. Get a vail
20. Engagement pictures
21. Appraise and insure ring
22. Finalize time of wedding with pastor
23. Register at Target and Lowe's
24. Book honeymoon
25. Decide on hairstyle
26. Book rehearsal dinner
27. Ask Cassie about bachelorette party and bridal shower:)
28. Lose 20 more lbs. Haha (I've already lost 10!)
In other words, Cassie, help me! Haha. We need to set up a wedding day very soon. There are probably things to be done that I haven't even thought of.
So I guess since I last wrote I've had an aunt pass away. My mom's oldest sister, Deb passed away. I took off time last week to go to her funeral and see all of my family. I hate funerals. They're so depressing.
My tummy kinda hurts right now....hmmmm......
I should be doing paperwork right now instead of writing in my blog....
Well, I can't seem to think of anything else to write about so I'm going to try to accomplish something on that list up there....maybe finish my wedding website. Later!

Bored at work...there will probably be a lot of these...
So it's only been like a week and a half since I last wrote! Haha. Mom came and helped us clean our apartment that weekend and it was practically spotless when she left! I've been trying very hard to make sure everyone is cleaning up their own messes so it doesn't get that way again.
This last week I've been very stressed. First, I didn't get the wells fargo job I applied for, and I was really hoping for something new. I worked like 60 hours last week for spring break, and then to top it off, I found out Weston was STILL in the hospital (he'd been there for about 4 days already) with his RSV and it wasn't getting better, so I called into work and took some time to go see him. It was so sad to walk in and see him with wires attatched to him everywhere:( Found out this morning that he was going to go home this evening tho, so that made me very happy!
I also went bridesmaid dress shopping with Deb and Sarah. Jenn already has her dress and Cassie knows what she wants, but I don't think she's ordered it yet. Deb ordered hers this past weekend and Sarah kinda just looked to see what she might like after the baby's born. Now I just have to get my sister's dress and get on Brian about his crew's suits!
Hm....7 minutes left until my shift is over and I can go home and relax with the soon-to-be hubby and roommates. I need to get some more wedding planning done. I need to set up a wedding planning day with Cassie soon to knock out a bunch of stuff (since she's my maid of honor and all)!
I don't have to work tomorrow unless I get called in sometime before 7 am.
Oh, shift is over, gotta go!

Why does it always take me forever to write? I need to fix that.
So it's been another 6 1/2 months since I last wrote. I'm sitting at work being bored off my mind right now. I get to leave in about 20 minutes so this post will be short. Btw, I got the job at Lutheran Services of Iowa as a Youth Specialist and have been here for almost 6 months. I enjoy it, but some days I really want to quit. I recently applied at like 30 other jobs that are more in my field of degree, and so far I've gotten one call-back. I have a phone interview on Monday for Wells Fargo as a teller. No idea where, what the hours would be, or how much it pays, but hey, it's better than getting beat up by kids all day. We'll see how that goes. Crossing my fingers.
Wedding plans are coming along well. I bought my dress. We have our reception hall, dj, photographer, and cake lady all booked. My bridesmaids are working on ordering their dresses, which is awesome! I can't wait to show off my dress!
I feel like our apartment is still not unpacked....I'm so not motivated to do it, and of course no one else is either. Brian works 40 hours a week and is a part time student. AJ works like 25 hours a week, but spends every minute that he's home in his own room, and Megan is always at her boyfriend's house, so she doesn't do shit. It irritates me, but I always get over it. Mom, Scott, and Brent are actually coming down tomorrow and staying till Sunday afternoon to help me get stuff organized and put away. Mom's going to help me hang stuff up on the walls, since our walls are still bare after 6 months! Jamie's not coming...
Speaking of Jamie....she broke up with Ethan like a month ago, and it seems to be final. I got a call from mom tonight (yes, while at work, I answered my phone...shame on me!) saying that she spent a day with Ethan the other day to maybe try to work things out and apparently he tried to choke Aden, so for his sake, I hope I never see him again. Jamie turned him into DHS for the second time, but apparently they never did anything the first time, so who knows if they'll do anything this time. I'm still trying to convince Jamie to move to Ames, but no luck so far.
Speaking of Jamie reminded me of Brent. Haha. He got his first DUI a few months ago, at the age of 16. Oh, how proud I am of him (Joking). At least he learned from it. He's working to pay it off, and he has a ride to work every week I guess, since he no longer has a license.
OMG the last time I wrote, Jamie was still pregnant. She had Weston Michael Wirtz on November 5, 2009. He's now 4 months old and soooo cute. I would post a picture if I was on my home computer. Poor guy has a sinus problem and has been congested since he was born, and the doctors don't think it will go away until he's at least 6 months old when his nasal passages get bigger. Aden's getting big! He's almost 20 months old and so adorable. He's learning to talk and getting in trouble a lot. Again, I'd post a picture if I wasn't at work.
I now only have 3 minutes left until my shift ends, so I'm going to head out! Hopefully I'll write before the next 6 month mark. Haha.

Haha.
